About: Theressa Davis

Theressa Davis, APR, is a Leadership Portland graduate of 2005, and is currently the VP of Communications at Comcast in Oregon and SW Washington. Theressa started working at Comcast in 2004, leading the team that handles the public relations, internal communications and the community relations functions for the local Comcast market. With nearly 2,000 local employees and more than 4 million in local cash and in-kind community giving, the team is constantly busy working to enrich the community where Comcast customers and employees live, work and play. Prior to joining Comcast, Theressa was responsible for corporate communications for the Portland Trail Blazers where she managed communications around the team’s community giving and corporate initiatives. In addition, during her time at the Trail Blazers, Theressa was the editor for the team publication Rip City Magazine and local coverage in the national Hoop Magazine. Before joining the Trail Blazers, Theressa worked for HMH Advertising and Public Relations. On a personal level, Theressa recently learned how to spin records as a DJ and is always perfecting that art and digging for new music. She also enjoys writing and blogging, recently participated in the National Novel Writing Month in November and posting on other local blogs.
