About: Don Krahmer
Donald L. Krahmer, Jr. is on the board of directors of the Portland Business Alliance and serves as board liasion for Leadership Portland. He has been active in creating the EMERGE initiative to better engage and connect emerging and established leaders in the greater Portland-Vancouver region.
A native Oregonian, Don has a history of community and professional leadership serving on the boards of directors of Jesuit High School, Greenlight Greater Portland, the Oregon Innovation Council, the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute, the Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Center at OHSU and the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He also serves as co-chair of the Regional Business Plan Task Force on Higher Education and a member of the Economic Development Task Force and has been involved in both the Oregon Business Plan and the Regional Business Plan since their inception. He has served as President of the Arlington Club, Chairman of Oregon Entrepreneurs Network and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the Oregon State Bar.Portland Business Alliance Board Liasion for Leadership Portland.
Don serves as co-chair of Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt, PC Technology and Business Practice and is a member of the Pacific Continental Bank board of directors. He serves as Chairman of the Bank's audit committee and on its Corporate Goveranance committee. He has been nationally recognized by Bank Director Magazine for his expertise in enterprise risk management. He has received numerous community awards including the James B. Castles Leadership Award from the Oregon State Bar for excellence in the practice of business law, professionalism among fellow business lawyers and outstanding community leadership, Oregon Business Magazine's Publisher's Award and 50 Leaders to Watch and was also named in 2006, 2007 and 2008 by his peers as a "Super Lawyer" by Law and Politics Magazine, a recognition only given to the top five percent of Oregon lawyers. He is a member of the Oregon and Washington Bar Associations.
He is married to his wife, Suzanne and then have two children- Hillary (who is attending Bentley University in Waltham, MA) and Zachary (who will be attending George Washington University in Washington, D.C.). He enjoys fly fishing with his kids, gardening, golf, reading, cooking and rafting.
